As a detective, I've never been content with the questions that exist in my mind going unanswered. Since my trusted source Lolipantsu came here with intel on the schizophrenic lolcow H*kari's recent crimes on the InstallGentoo Wiki (IGW), questions have brewed in the back of my mind: What is H*kari's motive? Why now? I believe I have come up with a theory that may explain recent events.

You see, as many of us who have been following the H*kari Case already know, H*kari "Not a Regular Here" Schizomod gets [bold: very] upset when resources with verifiable information on his past corrupt actions are disseminated. He tries to delete and/or cover up said resources wherever possible. Be that the link to this site (which he frequently deleted from Nanochan, and was especially serious about automatically deleting when the drama covering his corrupt actions were covered here, and wordfilters on False Nanochan), the deleted by tvol page and the audit.log on Nanochan (both of which were deleted when mentioned), the link to the database on Nanochan (he deleted a complaint of it being deleted as "yukispam" and malded to a very unhealthy degree following it being most recently posted here: P32740), or archives of his stealth deletions which he omits from the logs on False Nanochan (a previous edit on the IGW mentioned False Nanochan blocking archive.is), he is determined to prevent it from being seen. The Streisand effect appears to be outside of his awareness.

If we look at the contributions of his first (?) account on the IGW, Wikiist, we see two edits from him that were published before 2023-03-15, the date he swapped Nanochan's link with False Nanochan's link. His first edit (2023-01-17) appears mostly benign, not entirely indicative of the tendencies covered in the above paragraph. He does not remove the mention of my message to Endofunctor being deleted by him, but he does remove the (mostly inconsequential) detail of his ("the schizo mod") removal: https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Nanochan&diff=prev&oldid=52850

His second edit (2023-02-16) is significantly more characteristic of him. He removes the entire paragraph mentioning the "dysfunctional team of volunteer moderators" present in Endofunctor's absence, his removal of my message to Endofunctor, the site's downtime, and the link to the official Nanochan bunker. Curiously, he didn't attempt to switch the link to Nanochan with the link to False Nanochan yet: https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Nanochan&diff=prev&oldid=52962

On 2023-03-11, IGW user Insert comes back to the Nanochan page after 6 months of not editing it to update the article to reflect Nanochan's death and restore the official bunker's link: https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Nanochan&diff=prev&oldid=53008 - Little did this unsuspecting user know at this time, he would be dragged into the clutches of H*kari "Not A Regular Here" Schizomod's schizowrath.

H*kari's third edit (2023-03-15) is the edit that started the IGW Skirmish. He swapped the link of Nanochan with False Nanochan and made it appear as if Nanochan never went down, that the link to False Nanochan is just the new link: https://wiki.installgentoo.com/index.php?title=Nanochan&diff=prev&oldid=53020 - This is perfectly characteristic of him to do, but the question that I seek to answer today is "why 2023-03-15?" Indeed, he could have just reverted Insert's edit before his and just removed the bunker link, but for some reason he felt the need to get greedy here. What sparked the change?

One could plausibly attribute it to mere coincidence. The voices in H*kari's head could simply have happened to tell him to change the link on this occasion, but not on the occasions before. That alone, I feel, does not represent the whole picture here. I believe there is something that prompted the voices in his head this time.

You see, H*kari's thoughts and actions, while indicative of schizophrenia in dire need of treatment, tend to occur in response to a perceived threat. The explanation for the deletion of the link to this site on Nanochan and False Nanochan is straightforward - he doesn't want Nanochan users to be free to talk about his corruption. The explanation for the deletion of the links to the database, audit.log, and recent + deleted by tvol pages are also straightforward - he doesn't want his corruption to be seen. The explanation for his malding in response to the database P32740 is not as straightforward, but still pretty straightforward - because he can't delete it this time, he feels the need to throw a temper tantrum instead, as perceived injustices against him must not go unanswered. This incident, however, does not have a promptly recognizable cause. After some time (not much time at all, lol), I believe I have identified it.

The key to identifying what prompted his schizowrath this time was my attention to dates and times. H*kari's infamous edit of the IGW page on Nanochan was published on 2023-03-15, 14:42:16 UTC. After noting that detail, it was only a matter of looking for things that may have pissed him off in the hours before that time. Hours, because he is a regular here, in spite of his claims to the contrary.

On 2023-03-15, I found myself mildly frustrated. Lambdaplusjs was experiencing downtime, an occurrence that appeared to have happened more than normal that week. This prevented me from posting a reply that I had already written. It made me think: If Lambdaplusjs goes down, where do we go? Thus, the idea of making a thread with all relevant places in the Nanosphere listed occurred to me. Crossposting it on all Nanosphere boards gave a clear path for all Nanosphere users to see where people might be active in the event of Lambdaplusjs being down. Ultimately, I decided against including False Nanochan in the list, as because the list would've been censored on False Nanochan, it's only fair that I not include False Nanochan in the list.

Why might crossposting it to all Nanosphere boards that I could anger H*kari so much as to take aggressive action, you might ask? Well, among the boards I crossposted it to was Endchan's /nc/ board, the official bunker for Nanochan, and a board he has no control over. This board happens to be available on the clearnet. If we search DuckDuckGo, we see it is the first result when searching for Nanochan. On Endchan's /nc/ board, the thread (https://endchan.net/nc/res/750.html) was posted on 2023-03-15, 04:31 UTC. You may see where my theory is going by now...

[bold: My theory: With no ability to delete my post featuring places in the Nanosphere that are far more popular than his place, and the fact that it's displayed near the top of the page indexed as a top search result for Nanochan, H*kari felt threatened. If he couldn't control the narrative on the top search result, he would attempt to control the narrative on the next best thing. As such, he removed the link to Nanochan's official bunker from the IGW's page on Nanochan, and switched the link of Nanochan to the link of False Nanochan to give his site a place in the spotlight.]

Of course, this strategy of his was full of tactical blunders. There are many ways he could've done better, but due to H*kari's general level of intelligence that has been discerned by his posts, he likely did not think of them. If he wasn't so damn self-important, he could've merely owned up to the undeniable fact that False Nanochan is a third-party clone [spoiler: (with some incriminating details about him missing, but he wouldn't have to mention that)], and included it on the page alongside the link to the real Nanochan. He could've presented it as a backup site run by dedicated Nanochan users with no affiliation to the previous administration, and it would've been far less likely to be challenged by Insert in the first place.

TL;DR: H*kari lost.
