You argue that, despite the technology being available, it is not used for the purpose of education. I think that is pretty unfair. There are quite a lot of resources to be found online, be it on Youtube or blogs. That teachers don't leverage that is another problem entirely. There are even services that track user's progress to propose targeted exercises. Duolingo is an example.
The problem with online classes is that teachers didn't learn how do them properly and present their classes in the same way they would in a classroom. This, however, cannot work (except with particularly brilliant students) as the incentive to be focused isn't there. In a classroom, students 1 - don't have anything better to do, 2 - can be grounded for not being attentive, and 3 - do not interact, or only in a formal way, with their peers. As long as those three points aren't accounted and compensated for, I don't think it is a wonder that students keep dropping out.
Where you do have a point, however, is when it comes to higher education and specialized topics. Introductions to those topics are easily found, and so are research papers, but there is a gap between "knowing what the subject is about" and "knowing enough to be able to find your way in the literature" that I have found difficult to cross on multiple occasions.

i was setting the html and xhtml to be cached for a week, but that was overkill and a mistake on my part since any change would take one week to show up

I wouldn't set the cache time for the HTML longer than I would expect the average person to spend browsing the site. Otherwise you're just making it take longer to see updates with no real benefit. Caching over the span of days is kind of pointless because the Tor Browser doesn't have disk cache so everything gets nuked when someone closes the browser. Although it's harmless for stuff you're really not going to update. Even a 6 hour cache time for HTML seems too long to me since if I came back to your site after 6 hours I would want my browser to check to see if there was anything new.

For CSS it's a good idea to put a version number in the URL so that you can cache as long as you want and updates take place as soon as the new HTML is loaded.

A lot of sites do it even for images, which is how you get those awful pics with cumulative artifacts from being reposted on different sites. Even 4chan and some other imageboards do it to strip metadata and other gay reasons, although at least they try to be lossless with the image data.

For the correlation attack I was thinking of just timing. Say you log into some account and make public posts on some account regularly somewhere through Tor. Someone with access to your internet traffic could keep track of the times of day you have traffic going to Tor entry nodes and the times of the day posts appear on your account. Yeah at this point your ISP or someone with authority over them needs to be in on it and they need to be committing a non-trivial amount of resources to get you and whoever else. But even still the resourced used to dox problematic people these days is getting more intricate than it was in the past. It used to be journalists reading someone's reddit post history and looking for comments that gave away their identity, most likely a link to their facebook in a conversation with a friend or something. Now there's weird organizations devoted to this sort of thing. I read one of the people responsible for doxxing the LibsOfTikTok Twitter account was a part of an organization that received funding from the German government.

Also sort of related. If you want to see if a hidden service is tied to a certain IP address and you have ISP level control you can cut off internet to that IP address and see if the hidden service goes down at the same time. I suppose the way to protect against that is to have the hidden service go down on its own randomly. Not an ideal solution.

what happened is that i updated my rpi's kernel and it didn't update initramfs, so when i turned it off yesterday to clean my room i couldnt decrypt the root partition anymore because the kernel modules available during boot were outdated, so cryptsetup wasn't working anymore
also i couldnt just chroot into the sd card from my main computer and update the initramfs bc im too brainlet to know how to emulate a different architecture during chroot
so what i did instead was initramfs surgery, i mounted the sd card on my computer, copied the kernel modules into a flash drive, then plugged the sd card and the flash drive back into the pi, and mounted the flash drive and copied the (updated) kernel modules then loaded then and it worked
so now i have an update hook that will properly update the initramfs

anyway, i also took this downtime to write a cgi script to allow ppl to upload files to me, here is the stuff im interested in:

* dank memes
* funny videos
* books containing forbidden knowledge
max upload size is 16MB, and everything is saved on a 1GB loopback device (to prevent ppl from clogging my tiny sd card with /dev/urandom), so if the upload fails with error code 500, that's probably thanks to my inbox being full

also i finally installed an irc bouncer, so that i can run my irc client on my computer again instead of the server and now i receive desktop notifications when i get new messages
