The design was inspired a lot by nanochan, another board that was dying at the time and picochan, and also some other places like 4taba. When nanochan finally died some people from there came here. Sometimes people talk about math, technology, and programming, or just blogging about random stuff.

As of now there is not much of a vetting process for moderators, the last ones who came were lain (2023-05-05) and 12of7 (2023-02-11). I really doubt it, but there are a few sleeping mod accounts (abcdef, rf, IRN). But rf came back for some moves (only for those to be reverted by admin) and Hachikuji was pretty much an inactive account until a just recently. All seem legit with well-off intentions.
